Another Chipmunks movie. It's about what you would expect, no better or worse. If you hated the others, you'll hate this. If you loved the others, you'll likely love this one, too.
Shouldn't they go to prison for that or something? All in all, this film is really stupid, badly written and annoying. The studio must be thinking that kids are stupid and all kinds of crap is good for them. Sorry if I cursed a lot, but this movie offended me by how bad it was. It's not the case where something is so bad it's good, it's just very bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Maybe those who're blind and their hearing is impaired (ba-damm-tss).
Dec 18, 2015 Being the Chipmunks, there's plenty of songs throughout the film and you can't help but smile and enjoy them, they're very well done. Max loved it (giving it a 9.5/10) and that's what the film is about so it's done its job, I'd happily watch it with my kids again as it's easy watching with some catchy tunes thrown in for good measure. After a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore end up in the care of Dave's twenty-something cousin Toby. When the Chipmunks put aside their stardom to return to school to win a annual 'Battle of the Bands' competition to save the school's music program.
In a tree farm, three musically inclined chipmunks, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, find their tree cut down and sent to Los Angeles. Once there, they meet the frustrated songwriter David Seville, and despite a poor house wrecking first impression, they impress him with their singing talent. Seeing the opportunity for success, both human and chipmunks make a pact for them to sing his songs. While that ambition proves a frustrating struggle with the difficult trio, the dream does come true after all. However, that success presents its own trials as their unscrupulous record executive, Ian Hawke, plans to break up this family to exploit the boys. Can Dave and the Chipmunks discover what they really value amid the superficial glamor around them?

It's the kind of movie I'll watch once, maybe laugh a few times, but never want to see again. About the only noteworthy moment from the movie is a rather gross scene where Simon is stuck in a guy's pant leg and proceeds to defecate and urinate. Yeah, we actually see Chipmunk pee and poop. It wasn't a funny scene (unless maybe you're 7 or something). It was more disturbing than anything else. Other than that oddity, it was a par-for-the-course Chipmunk sequel.
