Knowing something is wrong with Mizuki, Aoba refuses and Mizuki retaliates by putting a knife to Tae's throat. Noiz asks Aoba why he is being nice to him, and suspects that is trying to gain something from helping him. Before Aoba could respond, Noiz takes off to shop for food and Aoba follows him.
Despite being an older Allmate model, Aoba considers Ren to be his important partner and cherishes him like family. Originally, Ren was a part of Aoba's consciousness that was created to keep the balance between Aoba and his other personality that wishes for destruction.

Aoba then easily defends himself from the player's attacks, muttering 'Death and destruction'. No, this is far worse. What I was hoping for was, alas, too much. I feel sorry for previous fans of the series, as this does no justice to the original VN. Honestly, I think you should never remove the 'L' from 'BL', as the original had some plot points revolving around the romance between characters. I understand what the producers were trying to do here, which was acquire a new demographic. What a mistake. In doing this, along with the short amount of episodes, they stripped the characters of any real feeling.
However, as Aoba already implanted his words into Mink's mind with Scrap earlier, Toue's attempt failed. Mink orders Aoba to turn back while he runs off to find the real Toue.
